In addition to psychotherapy services, Susan provides assistance with management of health care issues. Many people, prior to their current medical condition, led fairly healthy lives and rarely needed to see a physician. For example, after a stroke, the patient and their caregiver are bombarded by myriad doctor’s appointments and insurance issues. This situation can feel intimidating, overwhelming, and confusing. Years as a case manager taught Susan how to maneuver successfully through the health care system utilizing her extensive knowledge of community resources.
