In addition to psychotherapy services, Susan provides assistance with management of health care issues. Many people, up until their medical condition, lead fairly healthy lives and rarely need to see a physician. After a stroke, for example, that can drastically change. All of a sudden, the patient and their caregiver are bombarded by a myriad of doctor’s appointments and insurance issues. This situation can feel intimidating, overwhelming, and confusing. Years as a case manager has taught her how to maneuver successfully through the health care system utilizing her extensive knowledge of community resources.
